Mission Statement
Now Faith Community Development Center, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit based community development organization dedicated to providing services, support, training and information to the citizens in the Eastern Wake County community.
What We Do/How We Do It
We are a Knightdale, North Carolina community-based nonprofit that provides various services, support, training and information to men, women and children in the communities of Knightdale, Wendell and Zebulon. It is our belief that we can help them to become more aware and productive in this area.
Our current focus will be in three areas of need:
Community Health Information and Awareness Programs
•Senior Services (services health-related for seniors)
•Health Screenings/Fairs
•Abstinence/HIV AIDS/STD prevention
•Healthy Lifestyle (obesity, high-blood, nutrition, prevention/awareness, etc.)
•Youth Academic Educational Support
After School/Saturday Programs
•Tutoring (Academic Support)
•Mentoring (Gang Alternative/Prevention)
Family Life Skills/Educational Parenting Training (Fatherhood and Motherhood Training)
•Parenting classes
Soon to come: Medical Transportation Assistance, General Transportation (grocery, shopping, etc.), Recreation/Sports (sport leagues for family, banking and credit classes).
How We Do It: We are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization and operate exclusively on private donations from individuals, small businesses, corporations and private foundations. We also receive any city, state or federal government grants or funding.
We have a lean staff of 1 part-time director. Volunteers help 100% by providing the time and labor necessary to accomplish the various tasks.
